Memory Care Seniors Make Volcano Explode During Science Club at Poet’s Walk Round Rock

Memory Care Seniors were taken back to middle school science class when they made a volcano erupt! Using modeling clay, paint and rocks, everyone at Poet’s Walk Round Rock helped to make the volcano. On Monday, November 5, they put in baking soda, red and yellow food coloring to make orange colored lava and topped it off with vinegar to see the eruption. After the fun, they talked about how volcanoes happen, fault lines, if anyone has ever been to a volcano and the big ones like Mt. St. Helens and Pompei.
