Round Rock, TX (October 25, 2018) – Oktoberfest was a blast for all who attended the festival held at the memory care community Poet’s Walk Round Rock on Saturday, October 20, 2018. The community joined the residents and their families for fun beer choices, pork roast with sauerkraut, pumpkin spice fried pies, German potato salad and more. The Flying Balalaika Brothers were one of two bands to perform and they’re also the son and grandson of one of the Poet’s Walk residents, Margarita “Oma” Morgan. A family-friendly event, the kids enjoyed face painting, cornhole, bean bag toss, and more lawn games. In addition, everyone took home a recipe for Rosemary Beer Can Chicken and some fresh rosemary grown in the Poet’s Walk garden as well as a Pumpkin Spice Pie recipe.
