Seniors and Children Enjoy KIDFUN Activities Together at Poet’s Walk San Antonio

Children and seniors spread joy at Poet’s Walk San Antonio on June 2, 2017, by participating in activities inspired by Sharla Feldscher’s book “KIDFUN.” These activities included Big Box of Scarves, in which the children, ages two to four years old, and seniors filled a box with scarves and with their eyes closed, pulled out a scarf at random. The participants then danced around while waving the colorful scarves in the air. Another activity that the children and seniors enjoyed together is an activity in which the participants balanced paper plates on their heads. They used the same paper plates to have a “catch” with balloons. Both the children and the seniors had the chance to enjoy each other’s company while also being active.
