Seniors Compete in a Wheelchair Race at Poet’s Walk Round Rock

To kick off National Assisted Living Week, the seniors of Poet’s Walk Round Rock participated in a “Cross Country” Wheelchair Race on Monday September 12, 2016. Each senior was paired with a caregiver as they circled the inside of the community, racing to reach the finish line first.

A celebratory party was held after the race where everyone sang the National Anthem and more. During the celebration, the top three winners from the race were awarded gold medals and all the participants received honorary certificates.
