Poet’s Walk Fredericksburg resident Monica Wallace compliments Henry Palmer, 6, on his coloring skills while celebrating National Coloring Book Day at the Fredericksburg facility on Wednesday. Children from the Lifepoint Church day care center visited residents of Poet’s Walk to recognize the day.

According to National Coloring Book Day’s website, the first adult coloring book featured antique automobiles and was published in 1970.
