Seniors Welcome Community with 10 Foot Cake as They Collect Toys for Operation Blue Santa at Poet’s Walk Cedar Park

A 10 foot cake was sliced and diced for everyone at memory care community Poet’s Walk Cedar Park. The senior residents opened their doors on Saturday, December 8, 2018 to collect toys in support of Operation Blue Santa. In addition to a big Thank You from the seniors and the staff, everyone who donated received a delicious piece of that 10 foot cake.

About Operation Blue Santa:
Operation Blue Santa was started in 1976 by San Antonio Police Officer Tom Preston and his fellow officers. They bought toys for families who couldn’t afford toys under their Christmas tree. Since then, Operation Blue Santa has grown into annual giving that has brought smiles to countless children and is a source of heartfelt goodwill from San Antonio’s men and women in blue.
